Cullenoscopy Blog: Required Blog Commentary #1: "Sony Blackballs Blog Over PS3 Rumor"

In Sean's article: Required Blog Commentary #1: "Sony Blackballs Blog Over PS3 Rumor" , Sean discusses what happens when some big shot company tries to censor the web: they don't succeed. What happened is that Sony was upset because some gaming blog, Kotaku, published an article about how Sony's PS3 has some functionality issues. Sony asked the blog not to publish the article, but Kotaku did anyways.
Sony Replied:

"So, it is for this reason, that we will be canceling all further interviews for Kotaku staff at GDC and will be dis-inviting you to our media event next Tuesday. Until we can find a way to work better together, information provided to your site will only be that found in the public forum. Again, I take absolutely no joy in sending you this note, but given the situation you have put me into, I have no choice. - Dave Karraker, Sr. Director.

Sony's Threat, however, did not last long. According to Sean's article, a bunch of Blog bonded together and protested Sony. This, in turn, forced Sony to apologize and thus lost them the battle.

It's unfortunate that this is happening because it casts a shadow of doubt over all blogs.
